In my interviews I conducted I found a lot of interesting results. Parking at college is an issue for many people but to a different extent for each person. I found it surprising that students living on campus did not have a parking problem. This group of people was someone I thought this issue would affect, but it appears otherwise. Students living on campus get priority parking spots so they do not have to worry about parking. While driving to campus and parking would be preferred to most off campus students, some would be satisfied with an improved bus system or other alternatives. The need for on campus parking is not desired by everyone, but the need for an efficient way to get to campus is. Outsiders' who do not have this need do not commute to a college campus daily, or live on or within biking/walking distance.

Why the Need Exists: Thousands of students and staff making daily commute to campus with limited space and infrastructure to hold the cars and traffic.

Hi Ashton,
ReplyDeleteIt was interesting reading your post as you mentioned a group you initially thought had a need did not have this need. It makes sense that on campus students don’t have parking issues as they live on campus. Because of this your idea would probably be better suited for ofc campus students who can’t park on campus.
Hey Ashton!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely liked your idea, and I agree that parking is an issue that requires some sort of entrepreneurial solution. I like the work you have been doing so far, and am thrilled to see if it ever materializes. I hope that in the meantime you keep learning about your idea, and understanding it better!
